Why the top of every one is empty
An iPhone draws the clock and the Dynamic Island over your wallpaper, not under it. Anything you put up there is read through the time. So in this set the number starts at 46 percent of the height — just below the middle, where the lock screen leaves the picture alone — and the sky above it is kept plain and low in contrast.
There is a second rule, and it is the easier one to forget. When you tilt the phone, iOS shifts the picture to fake depth, so the outer edges travel off the screen — whatever sits close to a border is not reliably yours. Everything here is held well inside one: the number keeps at least 252 pixels of clear space to the left and right, and the small mark at the bottom sits 216 pixels above the edge. Both were measured on every one of the twenty-seven before it was saved, not eyeballed once.
That is the whole difference between a wallpaper and a tall picture: one is built to the screen, the other is cropped to it.
What the live one does
A wallpaper holds one number, and it holds it all day. Angel Clock holds the minute instead: it watches the clock face your iPhone is set to, and when the time spells 11:11, 4:44 or 5:55 the sky goes gold on its own and the minute carries one line meant for it. How to save one
Tap a sky above to open the full-size file. Press and hold it, then choose Add to Photos. From there you can set it in Photos, or in Settings → Wallpaper.
Press and hold the large one, not the small preview in the grid: the phone saves whichever picture your finger is on. Each full file is 1290×2796 — the native screen of the Pro Max and Plus iPhones. The other recent iPhones are almost exactly the same shape, so the smaller ones scale it down instead of cutting into it.

Will the clock cover the number?
No. The lock screen draws the time across the upper third, and every Angel Clock wallpaper keeps that band empty on purpose — the number begins at 46 percent of the height, below where the clock ends. That is why the top of each looks like plain sky: it is the part you are meant to see through.
Do they work on a phone that is not an iPhone?
The files are ordinary JPEGs at 1290×2796, so any phone can use them, and an Android screen of a similar shape will scale one without cutting the number. Angel Clock itself is iPhone only, so what you would be taking is the picture rather than the clock behind it.
Can I put one on the home screen instead?
Yes, and it is worth knowing that iOS treats the two separately: setting a wallpaper offers to use it for the lock screen, the home screen, or both. On the home screen your app icons sit over the lower half, which is where the number is — so the lock screen is the one these were built for. The home screen is where the Angel Clock widget goes instead, and that one keeps the time rather than a number.
